The Role

HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be working on projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

In the role of Electrical Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• \tDesign, manage and supervise projects, establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans and agree deliverables, i.e. report, specifications and drawings scope for all projects with your Group Leader.

• \tAgree level of service, and project design duties with your Group Leader, for each project, understand relationship with fee.

• \tAssist Group Leader with monitoring engineering/CAD resource requirement for each project within your control.

• \tCarry out engineering concept design to detailed design, involve in tender and contract process, review contractor submission, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs.

• \tLiaise with the contractor/PM team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings. Maintain regular 'in house' design reviews and checks.

• \tUndertake technical reviews of the project (and MEP team input provided to other projects) at appropriate stages to ensure that the project approach and deliverables.

• \tMonitor and control design progress, design variations.

• \tMonitor contract staff or third-party appointments

• \tMaintain excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.

• \tWhen acting as design team leader, co-ordinate with other project disciplines.

• \tAssist Group Leader with identifying and implementing your personal training/CPD requirements. Help develop working practices in the Company.

• \tImplement and manage filing systems and procedures on all projects.

• \tImplement Company Health and Safety. Ensure all designs respond to the local regulations.

• \tAssist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.

• \tWork closely with Clients / Architects/ Structural Engineers / Quantity Surveyors, etc.

• \tAssist Project Manager in upkeeping the project ISO quality documentation and records.

• \tSenior engineers must be able to lead projects and supervise a team of engineers / technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• \tDegree in Electrical Engineering from recognized education institutions

• \tMinimum 5 - 8 years of hands-on electrical design experience in Data Center/ Mix Development Building/Infrastructure projects

• \tFamiliar with local code and authority submission procedure.

• \tTeam player and able to work independent with minimal supervision

• \t Mission Critical Design / Data Centre Design Experience is an added advantage .

• \tDesign experience with BIM is an added advantage.

• \tKnowledge consulting experience and successful project management experience in the MEP sector is an added advantage.

• \tAppreciates teamwork and good interpersonal skills.
