Qualifications
Infrastructure Design & Implementation
- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and hybrid IT infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux).
- Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and refresh projects.
Server & Virtualization Management
- Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Manage server capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
- Support high availability (HA), clustering, and disaster recovery setups.
Storage, Backup & DR
- Manage SAN/NAS storage systems and storage provisioning.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
- Participate in DR planning, testing, and execution.
Operations & Support
- Provide Level 2 / Level 3 infrastructure support for production environments.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents and problems.
Security & Compliance
- Implement infrastructure security best practices, patching, and hardening.
- Support compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
- Coordinate with security teams for vulnerability remediation.
Documentation & Change Management
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
- Follow change management processes and maintain accurate configuration records.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools and ITSM/ticketing systems.
Cloud & Automation (Advantage)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Basic scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Linux, AWS/Azure).
