EngineeringThis role will perform formulation and testing of customer-tailored applications (seasonings, sauces, etc.) Translate customer briefs into actionable recipes, samples, and application guides. Contribute to deriving commercialization solutions through lab operations and pilot tests, while supporting customer technical service.
1. Application Development and Optimization
• Develop and improve applications for key APAC categories (noodles, snacks, processed meat, ready-to-eat meals, sauces, etc.)
• Create recipes, perform bench tests, and conduct pilot tests based on customer briefs.
• Package proposal samples, recipes, and application guides into comprehensive solutions.
• Refine the taste, quality, and cost structure of existing recipes by incorporating customer and market feedback.
2. Support for Sensory Evaluation and Flavor Profile Adjustment
• Organize and execute internal tasting and sensory evaluation sessions (sample preparation, setup, and result summarization)
• Assess flavor profiles, including taste, aroma, and mouthfeel, and document the results in detail for further analysis.
• Adjust flavor profile and assist in optimization based on evaluation results and feedback.
• Apply flavor and quality insights to application development and recipe refinement.
3. Technical Service, Customer Support, and Lab Operations Assistance
• Collaborate with the Technical Service Manager to prepare and conduct tastings/demos.
• Handle technical service tasks, including sample production, shipping, and preparation of recipe/application guide materials.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for customer quality and process issues and provide reports.
• Operate the Application Lab (raw materials, equipment, hygiene, and safety) and suggest SOP improvements.
• Organize and maintain technical data and documents, such as test results, recipe changes, and sample records.
Requirements
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in product development/technical service in the food, seasoning, and flavor industry.
Minimum Bachelor's degree or above in food engineering, food science, food processing, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
Practical experience in applications or R&D in FMCG or B2B ingredient/flavor companies.
Experience in recipe development, improvement, or application testing related to culinary products (seasonings, sauces, ready-to-eat meals, etc.)
Experience in projects targeting customers or markets in the APAC region is preferred.
Expertise in designing culinary applications such as seasonings and sauces, as well as developing and improving recipes.
Ability to conduct experiments and pilot tests based on an understanding of processes such as powder processing, sauce manufacturing, and drying technology.
Capability to perform basic technical communication and support roles in customer meetings and demos.
Skills in conducting experiments/tests, managing results, and managing time and priorities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary commensurate with experience.
