THE ROLE:

We are looking for a candidate that can drive supplier engagement with external manufacturer/material suppliers on delivering key performance indices in terms on New Product Introduction, Supplier Manufacturing readiness, Excursion free processes, Value Engineering and Enabling new capabilities. THE PERSON:

The Signal Integrity Engineering team ensures the performance of the product is met through the integration of silicon, package and platform electrical design. Singapore Signal Integrity Lab provides design support to engineering teams for both current and forward-looking product development and design optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a member of the Singapore Signal Integrity team, you will be responsible for the electrical design and characterization of high-speed signaling and power delivery networks in AMD products covering package, connector and board.
• You would be involved in designing test boards and fixtures to support signal integrity validation and electrical performance testing.
• You will apply de-embedding techniques and analyze s-parameters to ensure accurate signal measurements and system behavior.
• You will perform analog and impedance characterization to support packaging design and integration with broader system architecture.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and AMD customers to drive optimal engineering decisions and resolve technical challenges effectively.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• You have hands-on experience in signal integrity design involving packaging, cables, sockets, connectors, and boards.
• You are proficient in using measurement tools such as VNA (Vector Network Analyzer), TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer), and high-speed oscilloscopes.
• You have worked on test board design, measurement fixtures, and applied de-embedding methodologies for accurate signal analysis.
• You are experienced in analog and impedance characterization, and in processing s-parameters to evaluate high-speed performance.
• You are self-driven, able to work independently, and bring more than 3 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• You are comfortable collaborating across functional teams and global sites.
• Familiarity with high-speed digital signaling interfaces such as PCIe and DDR would be an advantage.
• Experience with electrical modeling tools like HFSS, SIwave, ADS, or similar EDA software is a plus.
• A solid foundation in electromagnetic theory and digital circuit analysis would be beneficial.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Microwave Engineering, providing a strong foundation for high-speed signal design and analysis.
