We are seeking an experienced Platform Operations Engineer to design, support, and optimize our cloud infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of our cloud-hosted platforms by leveraging Microsoft Azure services and best-practice cloud engineering principles.

This role is critical in strengthening our cloud foundation and enabling the secure delivery of our digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
• Implement and manage Azure virtual networks, security groups, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Monitor cloud performance and optimize infrastructure for cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Implement governance, backup, disaster recovery, and security compliance frameworks across Azure workloads.
• Manage Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), and policies to ensure secure user and service access.
• Troubleshoot production issues relating to cloud infrastructure and provide operational support to internal teams.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to support deployment pipelines, automation, and cloud modernization efforts.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience managing or engineering cloud platforms, preferably in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services including Virtual Machines, AKS, App Service, VNet, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Storage Accounts, SQL/NoSQL databases, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud
