System Engineer

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure that they operate efficiently, securely, and reliably, have a deep understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

2. Specific Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and implementing the overall architecture of a system, including hardware, software, and network components
• Install and configure systems, including operating systems, applications, and network components, to meet specific requirements
• Implement security measures, such as firewalls and access controls, to ensure the security of systems and data
• Monitor system performance and analyze system logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure the availability of systems and data in the event of a system failure or disaster.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies to ensure system reliability and continuity.

Virtualization
Familiar with any Virtualization technologies, hypervisor technologies, and virtual machine management tools

Operating Systems
Familiar with provisioning and deploying types of different operating systems include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on Virtual Machines. Skilled in either Wintel or Specific Linux distributions.

Cloud Computing
Understanding Cloud architecture, deployment models, cloud management tools, security, and compliance.

Experience on one of the following cloud platforms. AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud

Network Engineering
To designing and implementing network architecture, topology, protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, OSPF), routing protocols, and security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to enable efficient and secure communication between network devices.

Data Protection ( Backup)

Have an understanding of different data backup solutions and approaches. Familiarity with well known backup solution. Understanding of Disaster Recovery

Automation

Experience with basic scripting is a must.

Experience with popular automation platforms (terraform,ansible)
