Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of marine navigation and communication equipment.
- Support work on maritime navigation systems such as: Marine Radar, Gyro Compass, Magnetic Compass, Autopilot, Echo Sounder, Speed Log, Steering (FFU/NFU), Weather Fax, Wind Speed/Direction instruments.
- Support work on marine communication systems including: GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area Networks, and email systems.
- Help conduct radio surveys of GMDSS equipment.
- Assist with off-landed repair of faulty equipment in the workshop.
- Prepare simple service reports after completing tasks.
Requirements:
- Formal education in Electrical or Electronic equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge of marine navigation and communication systems.
- Good communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Self-motivated with an analytical mindset.
