Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, including preparing quotations, sourcing for materials, managing timelines and schedules, resource allocation planning
  • Evaluate technical / engineering requirements of the jobs and review drawings
  • Provide technical guidance on the selection of steel materials used
  • Prepare technical documentations required for every project. Eg. Fit up inspection form, Final & Visual inspection form, mill certificates for materials, CIPL form
  • Design shop fabrication drawings to client's specifications
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers to ensure project runs smoothly
  • Provide timely project progress reporting to customer, communicate & inspection with QC
  • Monitor work progress closely, ensuring quality and safety standards are being met
  • Resolve any technical challenges that arise during the project
  • Conduct RA assessment, participate in monthly safety committee meetings


Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in naval architecture, structural or marine related engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Offshore and Marine industry
  • Able to interpret technical drawing and engineering codes and standards
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge on steel materials, fabrication methods and welding processes
  • Knowledge on NDT and testing methods
  • Able to work within schedule and budget restraints.
  • Good communication skills, resourceful, able to multi task and a team player
  • Able to work overtime
