Requirements
- Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings to develop precise cost quotations.
- Evaluate material, labor, and production costs to formulate competitive pricing structures.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to develop cost-effective and feasible solutions.
- Review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to assess alignment with manufacturing capabilities and resource availability.
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals for customer review.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality benchmarks, and internal company policies in all cost estimations.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date quotation database, including pricing history and records.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive rates for materials and services.
- Provide technical support to the sales team, including pricing justifications and insight into production feasibility.
- Monitor and follow up on submitted quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in cost estimation, quotations, or manufacturing processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design software is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail in pricing and cost estimation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documents accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of CNC machining and general manufacturing operations.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience in sourcing and vendor communication.
