1. Assist in the end-to-end lifecycle of server infrastructure projects, including hardware deployment, racking, cabling, and initial configuration in data center environments.
2. Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server hardware and related infrastructure components.
3. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
4. Support the rollout of new server products by participating in scenario-based validation testing and performance reporting.
5. Follow standardized operating procedures for all technical work to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
6. Act as a primary technical contact for clients, providing timely and effective support for their customized requirements and service requests.
7. Manage and resolve technical support tickets, diagnosing issues related to server hardware, operating systems, and platform compatibility.
8. Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs, provide status updates on ongoing projects, and manage expectations.
9. Escalate complex or high-priority issues to senior engineering staff while maintaining ownership of the client communication loop.
10. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering clear, professional, and empathetic communication.
11. Liaise with the technical support teams of key vendors (e.g., Red Hat, VMware, HUAWEI) to troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software compatibility issues.
12. Work closely with internal cross-functional teams across the APAC region to coordinate deployment activities and share technical knowledge.
13. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and support guides to improve team efficiency and client self-service capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills
1. Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2. 1-3 years of hands-on experience working in a data center environment.
3. Proficiency in server hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance (racking, stacking, cabling).
4. Familiarity with server operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
5. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, switching, routing).
6. Proven experience in a customer support or client-facing technical role is highly advantageous.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
8. Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
9. A proactive and collaborative team player who can also work independently.
10. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
11. A strong desire to learn new technologies and grow professionally.
