Role Overview
This position offers an opportunity to develop strong expertise in ion implantation process technology, including lattice damage control, channelling effects, and post-implant recovery. You will work closely with a Senior Scientist to support ion implantation processes, run simulations, and apply fundamental knowledge of crystallography and ion-atom interactions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and technology development groups will be a key part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues using basic diagnostic tools and understanding of ion implanter systems.
- Process Support: Help develop and validate implantation recipes to achieve desired dopant profiles and minimize lattice damage.
- Vendor Interaction: Work with equipment vendors to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
- Defect Analysis: Collect and analyze data on implant-induced defects and assist in developing strategies for defect reduction.
- Operational Coordination: Review work orders and support equipment operators in resolving process-related issues.
- Experimentation: Participate in designing and running implantation experiments with varying doses, energies, and angles to improve device performance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of ion implantation processes and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with defect formation and recovery in semiconductors.
- Exposure to simulation tools (e.g., SRIM/TRIM, Silvaco Athena, Sentaurus Process) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Interest in semiconductor process development and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
