Infrastructure and Network Support Engineer

We are looking for an Infrastructure and Network Support Engineer to assist in maintaining our on-premises and cloud-based servers, networking systems, and virtualisation platforms. This role offers hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and an opportunity to develop technical skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing on-premises servers and virtual machines (VMs) using platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix.
• Help configure and maintain firewall rules, network policies, and VLANs under guidance.
• Respond to requests related to network access, permissions, and virtualisation services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve basic infrastructure issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with security policies.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of server operating systems (Linux/Ubuntu and Windows Server).
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switching, and routing.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and network policy management is advantageous.
• Interest in learning cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Comfortable using ticketing systems such as Jira.
• Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
