- Site Supervision
- This is the main responsibility of a site engineer which includes monitoring construction progress and quality of work to ensure it complies with designs and specifications. Ensure that construction activities are conducted according to the schedule and within the project's scope.
- Technical AdviceProvide technical support to construction teams, helping solve engineering-related problems on site. Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and provide clarity to contractors and workers when needed.
- Liaison and CommunicationAct as a liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, architects, and project managers. Regularly communicate project updates and any on-site issues to senior engineers or project managers.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times on the construction site. Conduct safety inspections and promote a safe work environment.
- Material and Equipment ManagementOversee the usage and storage of materials and construction equipment. Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and ensure quality materials are used.
- Documentation and ReportingMaintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, quality reports, and material usage. Report progress, delays, and other on-site issues to senior management or clients.
- Quality ControlConduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met. Identify and address potential quality issues before they become significant problems.
- Budget ManagementAssist in monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring that expenses are within the approved budget. Identify and report potential cost-saving measures.
- Educational Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification or registration is an added advantage. - ExperienceMinimum 1-3 years of experience in a construction or civil engineering role is generally required.
Experience in managing construction sites, projects, or a specific discipline (e.g., concrete work, structural engineering) is advantageous. - Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in demanding environments, including exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Physical stamina to conduct on-site inspections and supervise workers for extended periods. - Skills and Competencies:Technical Knowledge:
