Job Purpose
As a Risk Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the company's risk engineering and underwriting functions. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk surveys, supporting underwriters with technical analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will contribute to the company's risk management, loss prevention, and business growth objectives.

Job Purpose
As a Risk Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the company's risk engineering and underwriting functions. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk surveys, supporting underwriters with technical analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will contribute to the company's risk management, loss prevention, and business growth objectives.
Your main responsibilities would include:
- Conduct risk engineering surveys for Property, Construction/Engineering lines of business.
- Manage all aspects of risk survey services, including follow-ups, risk improvement initiatives, and post-loss surveys.
- Identify potential hazards and assess their likelihood and impact on business operations, financials, and safety.
- Support underwriters and operations teams by providing technical reports and risk analyses.
- Prepare detailed risk survey reports with recommendations for improvement, ensuring compliance with NFPA and local regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks (e.g., cyber, environmental, operational).
- Maintain knowledge of NFPA, FM Data, and SCDF requirements.
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or related fields).
- Professional certifications such as BCP, CFPS, or other relevant qualifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for site inspections and surveys.
