Introduction

We are looking for a site engineer who will spend most of the time on site, liaise with various parties and make sure the project is delivered as planned.

Job Responsibilities of Site Engineer

- Liaise with relevant parties to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.

- Constant creation of awareness of safety measures and hazards at the workplace and ensure safety practices in the workplace.

- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the technical drawings and engineering plans

- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors and preparing cost estimates.

- Overseeing the selection and requisition of material and tools for cost and specifications. Ensuring availability on site.

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting of equipment as required.

- Drawing up work schedules, monitoring the progress and preparing catch-up proposal if applicable.

- Conducting our product-specific trainings or clarifications to site labour force when necessary.

- Carrying out day-to-day management of the site, including Delegating tasks, supervising and monitoring the site labour force.

- Ensuring the subcontractors comply to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.

- Spotting, discussing and resolving any unexpected discrepancies & difficulties that may arise. Ensuring schedule and quality targets are achieved.

- Gathering data, compiling reports and presentations regarding site condition, adjustments and progress.

- Providing regular updates on site progress to project manager as well as clients or their representatives.

- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvements.

Site Engineer Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction or similar

- Relevant experience is a bonus

- Organizational and co-ordinational skills

- Project management skills

- Analyzing and problem-solving skills

- Communication skills

- A driver's license (Class 3)
