Position Summary

Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Takes on project role.
• Review external designer's pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
• Create the hull outfitting equipment sourcing technical specifications for cranes, deck machinery, outfitting, etc.
• Conduct a technical assessment of the offer made by the seller.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for interpretation of the drawings and specifications.
• Prepare arrangement & detail outfitting drawings.
• Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).
• Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
• Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.
• Safety and architectural outfitting coverage is an advantage.

Job Description

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Detail Design for Hull Outfitting newbuilding engineering design.
• Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline Character and Skill
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA
• Good communication and analytical skills
