Responsibilities

• \tConduct modification of existing products for new applications to meet customer requirement with minimum supervision

• \tWork well with scientist and R&D lead in research centre in china to provide suitable product to meet customer demand.

• \tReport feedback on results with detailed analysis and recommendations to supervisor and/or team

• \tAnalyze problems or customer complaints regarding existing products and assist with formula or process changes for new applications

• \tSupervise PML technicians to support testing work.

• \tInteracts frequently with internal departments to provide basic technical or procedural information

• \tAttend technical conferences, trade shows, and educational courses to remain current in the field.

• \tFollow safety guidelines for handling materials with the use of protective equipment as required

• \tMaintain organization and cleanliness of work area, laboratory instruments and equipment

• \tHandle confidential information with care

• \tMinimal travel to customer side for product intro and support critical customer testing.

Education and/or Experience

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Materials Science, chemistry or related field and a minimum of one year of laboratory experience are required. The preferred experience should be in Si based PV processing, glass science, organic/inorganic chemistry or related field. Knowledge and formulation experience of thick film paste/ink is a plus. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Self-starter with an attention to detail required. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative. Familiarity of Six Sigma methodology such as statistical analysis is preferred.
