The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to ensure the high performance and reliability of critical plant equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of the execution team, responsible for both routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting plant shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide timely technical support to resolve mechanical issues for both static and rotating equipment, participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to solve complex problems.
• Maintenance Planning & Execution: Implement and improve preventive maintenance (PM) plans using SAP, working closely with planners and other supervisors to reduce corrective maintenance and enhance equipment reliability.
• Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring all maintenance work, whether by internal teams or contractors, complies with strict HSE practices and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and document equipment improvements through the Management of Change (MOC) process and develop new work procedures to increase maintenance efficiency.

Requirements

• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, or a Diploma more extensive experience in a maintenance role within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• Strong technical knowledge in both Static Equipment (e.g., pressure vessels) and Rotating Equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors).
• Familiarity with industrial standards such as API and ASME is preferred.
