About the role

We are seeking a talented R&D Engineer (Material) to join our dynamic team at Heraeus Materials Singapore Pte Ltd. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our material science research and development efforts at our facilities. As an R&D Engineer, you will contribute to the development and optimisation of innovative materials and products that support our clients across a range of industries.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the development and optimization of products (mainly thermal conductive pastes) by conducting experiments, preparing samples, and providing technical input under guidance.
• Perform hands-on material application tests to validate performance and reliability; analyze and document results with precision.
• Identify and address technical issues during testing or development phases, proposing solutions and learning from outcomes to improve processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of experiments, test results, and project updates in compliance with company policies.
• Interpret test data, compile detailed reports, and present findings to the team to support decision-making and project progress.
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment while adhering to safety protocols and Heraeus' quality standards.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in product development or application testing in material science or semiconductor or electronic industry
• Strong understanding of materials and material engineering
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and industry standard
• Hands-on laboratory skills for conducting experiments and operating testing equipment.
• Analytical skills for interpreting data and identifying trends or issues.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, statistical software) and MS Office Suite
