KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Preparation of design/drawings and calculations
- Understand design requests from supervisor or directly from client (i.e. construction site) representatives
- Draft design/drawings and make design calculations in consultation with supervisor and/or external design consultants
- Submit drawings and calculations with supervisor for subsequent internal/external approvals and finalisation
- Design implementation
- Liaise with the temporary works coordinator for the design of temporary works (such as ELS, timber falsework for concrete construction and steel formwork)
- Liaise with the construction team and/or sub-contractors on adherence to the drawings/design for the permanent works
- Coordinate with onsite safety representatives to oversee adherence to LAIO safety management system, regulatory requirements as well as contractual obligations
- Provide support required (such as expertise on design aspects) either directly or in coordination with external design consultants
- Review & reporting
- Conduct requisite checks on the quality of construction through checks such as material quality, construction specifications in line with design and workmanship specifications, etc.
- Monitor progress of the construction with respect to timelines
- Record drawings/designs, delivery status, timesheets, etc. basis existing guidelines
- Escalate any non-compliance or delays to supervisor and the concerned Site Agent in a timely manner
Job Requirements
- Local Graduates with Degree in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/HR/Finance/Quality or equivalent
- 1- 2 years of relevant working experience
- Prior work experience in Construction industry preferred
