Summary

We are seeking a motivated System Engineer (L2) to provide day-to-day support for our server and virtualisation environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration and VMware ESXi, with a willingness to learn additional systems and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the configuration, administration, and optimisation of Windows Server and VMware ESXi environments.
• Handle escalated issues from L1 engineers and provide root cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain system patching, updates, and performance tuning.
• Manage hybrid environments (Windows + Linux) where applicable.
• Automate repetitive admin tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash).Participate in system migration, upgrade, and deployment projects.
• Document architecture, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with other IT teams on integrated infrastructure solutions.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• IT certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, RHCSA) preferred.
• Min 3-5 years of hands-on Windows Server and VMware ESXi administration
• Proven experience in advanced troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DHCP, and GPO management.
• Good to have experiece in Red Hat Linux administration, Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash), Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) integration and Endpoint management tools (e.g., BigFix, SCCM).
• Able to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.
