EngineeringThe Quantum Innovation Centre at A*STAR is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our mission of developing cutting edge quantum sensors for real world applications. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum science and engineering in a collaborative, multi disciplinary environment.
About the Role
As a senior member of our engineering team, you will lead the design and development of advanced electronic systems that power quantum sensing platforms. You will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with other engineering and scientific teams to deliver integrated, high performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop digital and analog PCBs for quantum sensor systems.
• Program and integrate microcontrollers and/or FPGAs for control and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with physicists and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Supervise and mentor junior electronics engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
• Contribute to the transition of prototypes into robust, field deployable systems.
• Document projects progress and provide written reports when required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience or a PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience in; Digital and analog PCB design, Programming of microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, Arduino, etc.) and/or FPGAs (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera).
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, signal integrity, and hardware software co-design.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced R&D environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
