Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and supportive Assistant Teacher to join our MindSpace team. This part-time role focuses on assisting teachers in-class, supervising students during homework and enrichment activities, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Support: Assist teachers during lessons by monitoring students and ensuring they remain engaged and on task.
• Homework Supervision: Guide and support students as they complete homework or assignments, fostering a productive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Individual Student Support: Provide one-on-one attention to students who need extra help, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
• Resource Preparation: Help teachers organize and prepare materials for classroom activities and lessons.
• Parent Liaison Assistance: Support teachers in gathering updates about student progress to share with parents when required.
• Fostering Engagement: Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and participation among students during lessons and activities.
• Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers and staff to maintain a well-organized, enriching learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with children in an educational or enrichment setting is advantageous but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's academic and personal growth.
• Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• A team player with a proactive approach to supporting students and teachers.

Working Hours:

• Full time: 10am - 7pm or 9am - 6pm
• Part-time position with flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and school holidays, based on operational needs.
