Trainees (classroom) management 

  • Assist to train, coach and assess trainees (in collaboration with other Instructors and APs) in centre and on-site to meet requirements of production incorporating vocational skills and work habits – hard and soft skills. (i.e. activities for vocational, community living, social, recreational participation and employment readiness) 
  • Meet production deadlines 
  • Provide training/supervision and guidance to PWIDs 
  • Support in gross and fine motor training for when required
    Projects Management and Logistical support
  • Support supervising instructor to establish programs and secure sustainable work opportunities for trainees.
  • Provide logistical support for centre activities, excursions, and events, ensuring their smooth execution.
  • Develop and maintain robust systems for managing internal inventory and resources.

Discipline and Performance Management:

  • Assist the supervising instructor in planning, implementing, and enforcing discipline control and interventions for the trainee.
  • Maintain accurate intervention, communication and disciplinary records and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Administrative responsibilities
 

  • Ensure adequate inventory levels and proper management of department resources.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to stakeholders.
    Manage vehicle logs and other administrative tasks as required. 
  • Plan and deployment for CSR/VIA/volunteering for any assigned events/ programmes/ initiatives.

Financial Responsibilities
 

  • Ensure that projects/systems and processes are recovered with minimum down-time.
  • Ensure that projects are managed within the given budgets and timeline.
  • Utilize TenderBoard system where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • NITEC or Diploma
  • Passionate about making a difference to improve the lives of special needs in the community
  • Ability to assist instructors to roll out lesson plan and intervention plans for PWIDs
  • Create good student development and classroom management plan
  • Experience working with chronic conditions such as special Needs / Mental Illness is a plus
  • Possess good problem solving skills to identity needs and create action plans
  • Able to communicate with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; working as part of team and meeting deadlines and schedules
