Graphic Designer (Senior / Creative Practice Background)

We are looking for a senior graphic designer with a strong independent design sensibility - someone who has developed their own creative practice, led design direction within a small studio, or taken on a Creative Head-type role while remaining closely involved in execution.

This role suits someone who values craft, clarity, and authorship, and who is comfortable owning projects from concept through to delivery. You will work across brand identity, communications, marketing collateral, and project-based materials, contributing thoughtful design outcomes that are both refined and purposeful.

The Role

• Design and develop work across print, digital, presentations, branding, social media, and large-format applications.
• Contribute to and help shape visual direction across marketing, brand, and project communications.
• Prepare business development materials including proposals, presentations, brochures, and publications.
• Design hoardings, project signage, exhibition graphics, and other large-format outputs.
• Work directly with printers, fabricators, and vendors on materials, colour accuracy, and press proofs.
• Prepare production-ready artwork and manage pre-press processes with care and precision.
• Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate to support ideation, image creation, layout development, and workflow efficiency.

Experience

• Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
• 8-12+ years' experience in a design-led environment.
• Background in a small studio, independent practice, or self-founded design setup is particularly relevant.
• Comfortable working with minimal hierarchy and translating ideas into finished work independently.
• Experience collaborating directly with senior stakeholders and external consultants.

Skills

• Strong sense of typography, layout, proportion, and visual identity.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Confident in PowerPoint for senior-level presentations and proposals.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Firefly, Midjourney, AI-supported layout tools).
• Knowledge of print and digital production, colour management, and file optimisation.
• Experience with motion or video tools is an advantage, but not essential.
