JOB DESCRIPTION

• \tResponsible for all design phases (phase 1 to phase 5) of assigned projects including but not limited to space planning, details and 2D & 3D.

• \tTo work closely with Design & FF&E teams to ensure designs are in accordance to contractual and client's agreement.

• \tTo work closely and assist in co-ordination with consultants and clients when the need arises.

• \tTo work closely with FF&E and CAD team on producing full sets of tender & construction drawings.

• \tTo ensure project assignments are completed within the given deadline.

• \tTo review shop drawings.

• \tTo attend site meetings and site/factory inspection.

• \tAbility to handle 1-2 projects simultaneously.

• \tAble to coordinate, delegate, give feedback, and mentor subordinates regarding their work and professional development including problem solving.

• \tResponsible for the day-to-day coordination with the client, consultants, contractors and project team.

• \tResponsible and monitor project schedule and work toward deadline.

• \tTo support project manager on schedule & deliverables update for billing & forecast.

• \tAble to coordinate, delegate, give feedback, and mentor subordinates regarding their work and professional development including problems solving.

• \tMonitor deliverables in each project phases and design stage.

• \tWorked closely with Design and FF&E team in all design phases ( Ph 1 to Ph 5).

• \tUnderstand & co-ordinate contractual agreement in alignment of Client's request.

REQUIREMENT

• \tDegree/Diploma in Architectural or Interior Design or equivalent.

• \tMinimum 5-6 years of relevant experience especially in conceptual design and detailed designing in the hospitality industries is a must.

• \tExperienced in handling projects in all design phases.

• \tCreativity and artistic flair.

• \tStrong in design detailing and freehand sketching or equivalent.

• \tAbility to interpret specifications and layouts, architectural and engineering layouts.

• \tGood Knowledge of site work and progress in phase 5.

• \tGood understanding of design (composition, planning, materials, details, furniture, and fixtures).

• \tProfessional knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, 3D Max and sketch up will be a plus.

• \tGood knowledge of drawing preparation and CAD standard and strong organizational skill.

• \tExcellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

• \tMust be meticulous, a good team player and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and perform in a fast-paced environment.

• \tHighly motivated, strong communication, interpersonal, observation skills and team leader.

• \tResponsible and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

• \tMentoring of the junior designers

• \tPreferably bilingual in English and Chinese as interaction with the Chinese clients are expected.
