Role Summary

This role supports the design team in delivering interior design projects. You will work closely with senior designers across design development, documentation, and project coordination, gaining hands-on exposure to the full design and renovation process.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development & Documentation

• Support senior designers in space planning, layout studies, and concept development.
• Prepare design drawings, basic 3D visuals, and presentation materials as required.
• Assist with material research, sample preparation, mood boards, and finish schedules.
• Update drawings and documents in line with design development and feedback.
• Assist senior designers in preparing quotations and cost breakdowns, ensuring alignment with design scope and selected materials.

Design & Timeline Coordination Support

• Support senior designers in managing the design process timeline, ensuring drawings, selections, and documentation are prepared on schedule.
• Assist in aligning design deliverables with site progress to ensure smooth coordination between design development and on-site works.
• Work closely with the project team to support timely execution and contribute to meeting overall project handover timelines.

Project & Site Support

• Assist in coordinating renovation schedules and project timelines under guidance.
• Attend site visits for measurements, documentation, and progress tracking.
• Support coordination of material deliveries and installation schedules.
• Assist with on-site clarifications and follow-ups when required.

Team & Client Support

• Support client meetings and presentations together with senior designers.
• Work closely with internal teams, including drafters, 3D designers, and project coordinators, to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain organised project files, drawings, and documentation.

Reporting & Stakeholder Updates

• Provide timely updates to senior designers or the Design Director on assigned tasks and project progress.
• Provide daily and weekly task updates and progress to the Design Director.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience will be considered at a higher salary.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent tools.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and willing to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to work independently with guidance and collaboratively within a team.
• Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Portfolio submission is preferred.
