Job description:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing design concepts, creating detailed plans, and overseeing the execution of projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe interior environments that meet client needs and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Meet with clients to determine their goals, requirements, budget, and preferences for the space.
• Concept Development: Create initial design concepts, including mood boards, colour palettes, and preliminary space plans.
• Space Planning: Develop detailed floor plans and 3D models to optimise layout, flow, and functionality.
• Material & FF&E Selection: Research and select materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) that align with the design concept, budget, and sustainability goals.
• Technical Documentation: Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction, including electrical layouts, plumbing, and material schedules.
• Project Management: Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure the design vision is accurately executed and completed on schedule.
• Budget Management: Prepare project budgets and timelines, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to supervise installation, ensure quality control, and resolve any on-site design issues.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with interior design trends, building codes, regulations, and new materials.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Entry-level applicants welcome; training provided; No prior experience required - training will be given.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and build strong client relationships.
• Creativity: A strong artistic vision and a keen eye for detail, colour, texture, and spatial awareness.
• Organisational Skills: Superior project management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and spatial standards
