- Source and negotiate quotations from suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
- Issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance (quality, price, delivery, service).
- Maintain proper records of purchases and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and cost control measures.
- Assist in resolving invoice and delivery discrepancies with Accounts.
- Coordinate with project teams on material requirements and urgent needs.
- Stay updated on market trends and new products relevant to the industry.
- Source for quotations and rates from suppliers and contractors.
- Participate in the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents and cost analysis.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine material, labor, and time requirements.
- Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials.
- Prepare plans, budgets, Bills of Quantities, and other documents.
- Submit quotations, handle progress claims and progress payments, Variation Orders (VO) and finalize accounts.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Possess work experience in civil engineering.
