Position title : Lab Engineer - Civil Engineering Laboratory Team

  • Location: Bukit Batok
  • Working Days: Monday-Friday, 5 days (standby for Saturday if needed)
  • Working hours : 8:30am - 6:00pm, 8.30 am - 1 pm
  • Salary : $3500-4000


We are currently seeking a Lab Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Laboratory team. This role involves hands-on testing of construction materials, supervising lab activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Materials Science (or a related field).
  • Relevant work experience in construction materials testing is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical testing on construction materials such as cement, sand, and aggregates in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Prepare and verify accurate, detailed test reports on a daily basis.
  • Organize and prioritize workload efficiently to meet operational timelines.
  • Supervise lab staff, ensuring orderly execution of tasks and maintaining required testing speed.
  • Apply appropriate testing standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN) to meet specific test requirements.
  • Maintain job records and generate routine reports for internal and external use.
  • Conduct R&D on new testing methods and stay current with industry developments.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on published standards and research.
  • Oversee the procurement and setup of testing tools, instruments, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate testing processes to customers, auditors, or external assessors as needed.
