Job Description & Requirements
- Develop detailed drawings based on rough sketches and specifications provided by engineers and architects.
- Define dimensions, materials, and procedures for new product designs.
- Create multiple design iterations for review and approval by engineers and architects.
- Utilize computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software to produce design plans.
- Draft and prepare layout drawings for structures, components, and devices.
- Generate preliminary design drafts and diagrams following given specifications.
- Assist and collaborate with designers and engineers throughout the design process.
- Prepare detailed drawings for sheet metal components.
- Create technical drawings and diagrams for electrical devices and installations.
- Work closely with designers and subcontractors on various project requirements.
- Perform precise calculations of dimensions and allowances to ensure accuracy.
- Compile data and specification sheets for design documentation.
- Update and revise drawings and layouts to reflect changes and improvements.
- Integrate safety considerations into installation and construction drawings.
