The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) aims at exploring and utilizing the underground space in a sustainable manner.

Our department is seeking to hire a high-calibre researcher to provide leadership and support for digital transformation of geotechnical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to fuse multi-source data for TBM tunneling risk assessment.
• Apply emerging digitalized approaches to transform the current engineering practices.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in mechanical and civil engineering or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experiences in thermal engineer / technical hands-on experience in thermodynamic analysis
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in programming, such as Python, MATLAB, or other competent languages
• Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design
• A good record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences
