A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering , Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The position is aimed to assist the development of artificial intelligence of things for civil infrastructure monitoring and management. It will eventually contribute to the pervasive digitalization for Smart Nation and also sustainable built environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient and lightweight machine learning algorithms suitable for IoT
• Implement and test the applications using IoT prototypes
• Publish several papers in top journals
• Write proposals for further development
• Mentor students

Job Requirements:

• A Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in structural condition assessment, machine learning, experimental techniques, sensor development, or signal processing
• Excellent programming skills for one of the languages, such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB
• A good record of referred journal publications or conference presentations
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Previous experience in proposal writing is a plus
