As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead and manage various activities including managing clients, projects, project teams and develop project protocols plus deliver projects on time, to budget and to the required quality levels expected by the Currie & Brown and our Clients.

Responsible for the performance of projects (financial, quality and program) assigned to them, including clients' satisfaction and opportunities for variation.

To contribute to the provision of cost management services to Currie & Brown's clients including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality cost consultancy services to clients, ensuring accuracy and technical excellence.

- Undertake project feasibility assessments, design evaluations, and preparation of cost plans and budget estimates.

- Estimate costs, analyze risks, and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

- Manage tendering and procurement processes, including preparation of tender documents, tender analysis, and contract administration.

- Prepare monthly valuations, financial statements, and negotiate final accounts.

- Lead and manage other Quantity Surveyors on assigned projects as required.

- Actively participate in internal forums, training sessions, and company events.

- Contribute to the commercial interests and strategic goals of the company and business unit.

- Assist in identifying and converting new business opportunities, including preparation of proposals and submissions.

- Promote company values and adhere to quality management systems and SOP protocols.

Core Competencies & Skills

- Experience in supplier pre-qualification and procurement management.

- Ability to manage multiple Request For Proposals concurrently with strong understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.

- Skilled in project benchmarking and comprehensive commercial evaluations.

- Strong contract management and commercial negotiation skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Strong report writing skills, including award recommendation and justification reports.

- Compliance with discipline processes and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AI tools.

- Knowledge of SAP Ariba.

- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).

Experience:
- Degree in quantity surveying or related discipline
- A minimum of two years' technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
- Well-developed technical skills, for example preparing tender documents, estimates and cost plans, measurement from drawings, etc
- Passionate about quantity surveying and furthering your career with a leading property consultancy
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Excellent collaborative and team work skills
- Ability to build long-term relationships
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as CostX and CADMeasure desirable
