Job Responsibilities
Requirements
- Prepare and draft steel structure drawings (shop drawings, as-built drawings) using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Calculate steel material quantities based on drawings and project requirements.
- Prepare and place material orders, including hollow sections, I-beams, plates, angle bars, and BRC mesh.
- Coordinate with Main Contractor / Consultants to resolve technical issues and finalise drawings before execution.
- Explain drawings to supervisors and workers, providing technical guidance to ensure correct installation on site.
- Assist with site coordination and ensure works are carried out safely and according to specifications.
- Chinese-speaking candidates will be given priority, as the role requires daily communication with Chinese-speaking workers.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field (fresh graduates welcomed).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and able to read structural drawings.
- Basic understanding of steel structure components is preferred.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
