Job Responsibilities

• Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.

• Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.

• Tendering: Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.

• Contract Administration: Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.

• Cost Control: Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.

• Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.

• Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.

• Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.

• Post-Project Evaluations: Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.

• Experience: 2–3 years as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial).

• Preferred M@ndarin speaking Candidates

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and materials in interior design.

  • Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.

  • Familiar with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).

  • Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards).

  • Proficiency in M@ndarin (spoken and written) to liaise with M@ndarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and contractors.

• Qualities: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
