Job Responsibilities

Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.

Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.

Tendering: Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.

Contract Administration: Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.

Cost Control: Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.

Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

Collaboration: Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.

Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.

Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.

Post-Project Evaluations: Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.
Requirements

Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.

Experience: 2–3 years as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial).

Skills:

Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and materials in interior design.

Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.

Familiar with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).

Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards).

Proficiency in M@ndarin (spoken and written) to liaise with M@ndarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and contractors.
