Quantity Surveyor
Quantity Surveying:
• Review construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Projecting cost estimates on various materials needed for a project.
• Coordinating with Site Managers, Site Engineers, and other team members to ensure the project is on time and on budget.
• Preparing contracts, legal tender documents, invoices, and other documentation.
• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Managing contracts and tender processes.
• Monitoring project expenses and ensuring adherence to financial plans.
• Evaluating progress claims and finalizing accounts.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5 years' experience in construction industry.
• Member of SSSS or related Certificate is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and measurement techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Cubicost) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
