(A) Job Summary:

The CAD Operator is responsible for preparing and revising civil engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project and authority requirements.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The CAD Operator is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings (e.g., site plans, roadworks, drainage, structural layouts) from sketches, notes, or specifications.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineers' or consultants' instructions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, LTA/BCA requirements, and drafting guidelines.
• Maintain and organize CAD files and drawing records.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve design and drafting issues.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings for project handover.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior.

(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Diploma / NITEC in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of CAD drafting experience with architectural and structural trades in the building construction industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Experience in MRT/LTA projects is a definite advantage.
• Prior experience in working in construction site preferred, especially in Civil Projects.
