Roles & Responsibilities
The Clinical Director plays a pivotal role in driving and upholding high clinical standards across the Organisation's Family Services, with a particular focus on the Family Service Centres (FSCs). This role shapes clinical direction, fostering best practices and ensuring quality assurance across services, empowering teams to provide the best possible care to families in need. The Clinical Director will serve as the strategic lead in clinical governance, ensuring alignment with national social service standards and championing evidence-based, client-centric approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Elevate Clinical & Service Excellence
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical frameworks, protocols, and SOPs across FSCs.
- Ensure compliance with MSF requirements through manuals and process guidelines.
- Establish quality assurance mechanisms to monitor and enhance clinical outcomes.
- Conduct regular case reviews and practice observations to ensure service excellence.
- Professional Development & Capability Building
- Develop and lead training programmes, workshops, and reflective practice sessions for FSC professionals, enhancing their clinical capabilities.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and coaching for senior practitioners, guiding them in managing complex cases and ethical dilemmas.
- Establish a learning culture that encourages the continuous development of social workers and counsellors through structured competency-building initiatives.
- Advocacy, Partnerships & Sector Engagement
- Represent the organisation at national-level platforms, policy dialogues, and inter-agency workgroups, contributing to the development of social service strategies.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies (e.g., MSF), academic institutions, and industry bodies, to influence policies and promote family-centric interventions.
4. Leadership & Organisational Development
- Lead and support FSC management and senior clinical staff, integrating clinical and operational efforts.
- Support succession planning and workforce development by identifying and nurturing potential clinical leaders within the organisation.
- Partner with Organisation leadership to identify service gaps and design innovative, impactful programmes to meet evolving community needs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology from a recognised institution.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in social service practice, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience developing policies and frameworks for clinical excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of FSC operations, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory compliance within Singapore’s Family Services landscape
- Proven track record in clinical supervision and staff development.
Competencies:
- Strategic thinker who drives innovation in clinical practice.
- Adaptable to evolving frameworks like Integrated Family Services.
- Experience in clinical research, programme evaluation, or evidence-based implementation is a plus.
- Excellent written and communication skills to translate clinical insights into action.
Working Conditions:
