- Run the day-to-day business functions like a boss.
- Evaluate and level up processes through performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with regulations-no shortcuts here!
- Align the budget with business goals (aka financial smarts).
- Lead a team handling imports, exports, transshipments, and nominations.
- Develop the team, set up SOPs, and guide them to success.
- Solve daily operational issues like a pro.
- Manage department budgets and set ambitious targets.
- Handle shipping claims and customer concerns-negotiation skills = essential.
- Put together performance reports and improvement plans.
- Negotiate with carriers, warehouse operators, and distribution networks to get the best deals.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Microsoft Office wizardry-spreadsheets, docs, the works.
- Top-tier organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks like a champ.
- Comfort working with different teams across the business.
- 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding? Extra points!
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or something equivalent.
- Solid interpersonal skills-people skills are a must.
- Quick decision-making when it matters most.
- Experience with Sysfreight Software? Even better!
