In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and professional customer experience throughout the shipping process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
- Provide accurate information regarding shipping schedules, tracking, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments (sales, operations) to ensure timely quotation and issue resolution.
- Handle complaints, concerns, and delays with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain updated records of customer interactions, shipments, and service issues using PSA website and internal systems.
- Process shipping documents such as documentation and declarations of special containers, invoices.
- Follow up proactively on shipment status and notify customers of any changes or delays.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to team efforts by identifying areas for process improvement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably within the shipping, freight, or logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mind set.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation is a plus.
