We are looking for Assistant Manager / Centre Manager to lead the operations of our Dementia Day Care Centre and ensure the smooth delivery of person-centred care that meets Ministry of Health (MOH) standards.

Operational Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the centre, ensuring compliance with regulatory and service standards.
  • Ensure optimal client intake and centre utilisation within approved capacity.
  • Supervise the coordination of client admissions, assessments, trials, and transport arrangements.

Care and Service Quality
  • Lead the development and monitoring of Individual Care Plans (ICP) with support and in consultation with the care team.
  • Track and evaluate client outcomes and satisfaction, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Uphold a high standard of client safety, hygiene, and wellness.

Team Leadership
  • Manage, supervise and guide staff in delivering effective, person-centred care programmes.
  • Assess training needs, organise staff training schedules, and onboard new recruits.
  • Foster a supportive, collaborative work environment across multidisciplinary teams.

Client and Caregiver Engagement
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and client/caregiver engagement.
  • Provide timely updates on clients' health and progress.
  • Offer financial counselling on suitable subsidies and service schemes.
  • Hands-on in handling client and caregiver enquiries with timely and empathetic follow-up.

Programme Implementation
  • Oversee planning and execution of centre activities and delivering programme excellence.
  • Conduct regular case discussions with allied health professionals and nurses.
  • Manage client behaviours associated with cognitive decline and dementia with appropriate strategies.

Centre Administration
  • Oversee centre cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Manage financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Maintain inventory of assets and consumables, ensuring efficient resource utilisation.

Strategic and Community Engagement
  • Review programmes periodically to align with evolving eldercare/dementia care needs.
  • Support HQ-driven or self-initiated improvement projects to enhance centre services.
  • Build and lead a team of volunteers to support activity-based engagement.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, psychology, or gerontology related areas.
  • Preferably holds a qualification in Nursing, Social Work or Eldercare (e.g. diploma or specialist certification).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a healthcare setting providing care to Persons Living with Dementia.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and sincerity in serving frail seniors.
