Job Responsibilities

Network Administration and Security Operations
  • Configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Review and evaluate technical documentation related to processes, technologies, security and network devices.
  • Manage network infrastructure projects, which include procuring network solutions and working with vendors to ensure the timely completion of implementation works.
  • Manage TrendMicro Vision One Endpoint Security to ensure devices are up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain network-related automation using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline workflows such as network access approvals and alert-based notifications.
  • To ensure the organisation's network security measures are enforced.
  • To perform setup and maintenance of storage and network equipment.

M365 Administration and Operations on MS Teams and Defender XDR
  • Administration and maintenance of Microsoft Teams Voice over IP (VoIP) and Calling Plan infrastructure.
  • Manage and monitor the Microsoft Defender XDR platform, leveraging its cross-domain threat detection, automated remediation, and threat hunting capabilities to strengthen NIEC's cybersecurity posture.

General IT Support
  • Support users for issues related to WIFI connectivity
  • To manage Software Licenses, hardware and software inventories, asset tagging and cable patching and labelling of the network ports (both at the network equipment).
  • To create and maintain good technical documentation and operational procedures.

IT Projects
  • To undertake IT projects related to Automation.
  • To work with the supervisor for any other assigned IT-related projects/tasks.

Others
  • Manage vendor and telco service provider for issue escalation, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Oversee and maintain contracts related to network infrastructure.
  • Review and evaluate technical documentation related to IT processes, technologies, security measures and network devices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for project implementation and incident resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies, standards, and best practices.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in related area.
  • Proficient in managing and supporting technologies such as Cisco Meraki Wireless, Cisco Switches, Cisco Umbrella, Palo Alto Firewall, Microsoft Defender XDR, TrendMicro Vision One EndPoint Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and end users.
  • Willingness to work outside standard office hours when operational needs arise.
  • Professional and technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, HCIA, ITIL or equivalent will be advantageous.

Note: All new hires will be offered a two-year contract in the first instance. Contract renewal and emplacement on permanent appointment will be subject to continuous good performance.
