Due to evolving business needs, we are partnering with a global FMCG company to hire an Assistant Manager, Channel & Category (Confectionery). This role manages five key markets across APAC and offers an unique opportunity to drive channel, category, and marketing strategies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive category strategies (Confectionery) aligned with overall business goals.
• Develop and recommend tailored merchandising strategies and product assortment plans for each market.
• Estimate sell-in volumes, determine optimal Recommended Selling Prices (RSPs), analyse competitor activity, and create compelling trade stories and planogram guidelines as part of the end-to-end product launch process.
• Implement localized sales and marketing plans across the retail mix - including POSM, planograms, exhibits, and promotions - based on insights from internal and external data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners to execute launch strategies and optimize shelf space allocation across retail channels.
• Monitor performance and conduct ROI and cost analyses to ensure effective investment across markets.

What You Bring

• A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with 4+ years of progressive experience in the Retail or FMCG industry. Knowledge of Confectionery category is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in market research tools (e.g. Euromonitor, Nielsen) and familiarity with research methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, adaptable, and a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and SAP.
