Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising an operations team in managing warehouse operations and activities.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
• \tAssist the Operations Manager in managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the warehouse operations.
• \tLead the team to achieve the department's KPI goals.
• \tPrepare, maintain, and update documentation of processes to meet accounts requirement and changes in customer requirements.
• \tTo ensure work processes are in compliance with documented procedures and proper housekeeping of the warehouse.
• \tEnsure timely processing of all inbound and outbound activities.
• \tEnsures the highest degree of efficiency is maintained at all times.
• \tSupervises and monitors the performance of employees to ensure standard practices and proper care of using the equipment, materials and supplies in the warehouse.
• \tSupervise the distribution flow, and the transportation activities within the company's managed warehouse.
• \tProvide on-the-job training to warehouse staff.
• \tPerform inventory reconciliation on stock discrepancy.
• \tEnsure timely updating of WMS on stocks return and follow-up system updates of closeout items.
• \tManage inventory accuracy via planned cycle count, monthly inventory reconciliation, inventory analysis and related reports.
• \tHighlight to Operations Manager for any irregularity in the warehouse.
• \tEnsure warehouse operations safety and security.
• \tAssist the Operations Manager in implementation of work improvement projects.
• \tCommunicates with customer on operations and service issues.
• \tMaintain complete visibility of all current and cargo movements.
• \tParticipate in customer meetings and manage transportation service providers.
• \tEvaluate service levels, review processes and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and establish and execute action plans.
• \tProvide training, coaching, and support to assigned personnel to enable them to effectively perform their jobs.
• \tMonitor and track all warehouse, transportation and administrative costs associated with their assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications Summary
Experience:
• \tThis position requires 6 years working experience with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations with at least 3 years in supervisory position.
Education:
• \tDiploma or above in Logistics Management or equivalent
Skills:
• \tStrong organizational and time management skills
• \tExcellent knowledge in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and able to generate and analyze inventory reports
• \tGood understanding of Customer requirements for business account
• \tProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc
• \tGood leadership skills
• \tAble to use systematic approach in decision-making.
• \tExhibit good judgment and understanding of issues
• \tGood working knowledge of the following operations areas - distribution, manufacturing,
• \tinventory planning, network analysis, materials management.
• \tGood Interpersonal skills
• \tGood Communication skills
• \tProven transportation /logistics / supply chain management knowledge
• \tGood customer relationship management skills
• \tGood written and oral communications skills
• \tProven experience in Warehouse operations
Working hours:
Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 6pm
