The position of Senior Assistant Director is a key role of the team that develops global opportunities for students, manages overseas programmes and fronts new initiatives, in Career & Attachment Office (CAO).
Job Description:
Business Development & Strategy Management
1. Curate and establish strategic partnerships in Asean, China & India (ACI) to engage potential employers for overseas internship and job opportunities.
2. Lead the engagement and relationship building with new and existing hiring organisations, government agencies, associations and placement agencies.
3. Leverage on partners e.g. government and placement agencies etc., to expand internship and job opportunities.
4. Set out tactical plans and draw out operational processes for implementation.
5. Conduct feasibility studies or evaluation and advise senior management on any new initiatives, partnerships and engagements.
6. Constantly finding ways to improve value proposition of contribution through use of cost-saving initiatives or innovative implementation whether in programmes, systems, processes or services.
7. Management of data; optimized usage of data for reporting and analysis for strategic planning and decision making.
Programme Operations and Customer Service Management
8. Oversee the management of all programmes and collaborations leading to overseas internship and jobs for students in ACI.
9. Strategise CAO administered fundings and determine optimal quantum fundings for the different overseas programmes, regions and durations.
10. Seek, drive, and implement continuous improvements including keen consideration on the use of technology, to help optimize administrative processes and quality of student experiences.
11. Exercise duty of care and assist in the management of any internship related issues arising from either students and/or internship employer(s).
12. Lead and motivate team members to ensure that outcome(s) are achieved.
Job Requirements:
1. At least 10 years working experience preferably in tertiary education, education sectors and/or relevant government agencies environment.
2. Prior experience in partnership engagement, business development, account management and managing people.
3. Working experience in overseas market or prior experiences in managing overseas programmes would be advantageous.
4. Conversant with the use of technology and data to automate work processes and for strategic planning.
5. Able to travel overseas independently to engage with potential partners and manage programmes.
