Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager, Supply Chain and Procurement will support Head of Procurement in overseeing and managing the Third-Party Manufacturer supply chain and procurement processes. This role involves ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services, maintaining strong relationships with CM/suppliers, and optimizing supply chain operations to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Coordination
  • Support the development and optimization of supply chain processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with CMs/suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain efficiency.
  • Assist in the resolution of supply chain disruptions and issues.

CM and Supplier Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CMs and vendors.
  • Evaluate CM/supplier performance and compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Address and resolve supplier-related issues and disputes.

Cost Management
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Analyse and report on cost variances and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier risk, geopolitical risk, and market volatility.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, manufacturing or procurement roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including Southeast Asia (SEA), India and China.
  • Proficiency in English & Mandarin is preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of market trends and best practices in supply chain management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
