About the role

As the Assistant Manager, Quality & Safety, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across the operations.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure the level of quality meets business requirements within the Company's standard operating procedures
• Collaborating closely with the department to develop and implement quality improvement and control processes
• Act as the lead in the investigation and resolution of complaints with regards to quality standards, taking actions to minimize further quality issues
• Act as the Management Representative for the company in ISO audits, and other quality assurance, safety related compliances and environmental certificates
• Assist in the generation of data for internal quality reports and external customer capability reports
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and Delta FAI align with ISO 9001 requirements
• Supervise a team of quality controllers to ensure the successful implementation of quality control processes, driving improvements in product quality and customer satisfaction
• Support in vendor audits
• Develop, implement, and manage quality plan and system with metrics and controls to measure and report performance and effectiveness to management
• Implementing and maintaining WSH procedures to promote a safe work environment
• Conducts incident investigations and identifies cases of non-compliances with company's SOP and WSH requirements
• Any other duties as assigned

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality assurance and safety role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques and root cause analysis
• Strong knowledge of Ministry of Manpower safety regulations and risk assessment frameworks
• Proficient in quality management systems, standards, and ISO requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address quality and safety issues
• Proficient in the use of quality control tools and software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
