Senior Assistant Manager, Transition & Integration
Introduction:

NTU Student Affairs Office (SAO) seeks to achieve its mission of collaborating and co-creating a meaningful and enriching student life experience with its partners via promoting students' personal growth through co-curricular learning arising from student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential hall programmes, inclusion and integration efforts, community engagement initiatives and sports.

The Senior Assistant Manager supports the Transition & Integration Lead in all strategic and operational aspects of university-wide Transition & Integration initiatives for both local and international students to transit effectively to the new university environment to thrive in NTU and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of the Transition and Orientation Programme (TOP)
  • Lead and drive all operational aspects of TOP and provide seamless coordination with schools, residential halls and Big 4 NTU student organisations and relevant NTU offices to achieve successful programme outcomes.
  • Review and strengthen TOP framework and plans.
  • Facilitate University Orientation Coordinating Committee (UOCC) meetings for staff and Orientation Student Committee (OSC) for student leaders to disseminate key guidelines and to exchange best practices.


Lead Integration initiatives to enhance support for international students' integration into the NTU community
  • Lead Integration initiatives among international students to promote various cultures to build a vibrant international community in NTU.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders e.g. Office of Admissions (OA), Office of Global Education & Mobility (OGEM) and Schools, to ensure the wellbeing of international students.
  • Conduct feedback, collate statistics and analyse reports to evaluate effectiveness of TOP and Integration efforts and to propose improvements.


Cross-functional student development initiatives
  • Lead or support assigned cross-functional student development initiatives or committees at the SAO, Student and Academic Services Department (SASD), or University level when required.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any related field from a recognised University.
  • At least 6 years' of relevant experience which involves considerable interaction with students; experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.
  • Experience in youth development and/or IHL orientation programmes, and integration of international students.
  • Project management skills in coordinating large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management.
